The Vice President (VP) of Technology for our Zelis Payments business is a critical position that leads and advances business growth. This position is responsible for delivering superior healthcare and technology claim lifecycle strategies to payors, providers and individuals from pre-payment to payment solutions. This includes the definition, development and delivery of comprehensive payments processing in a 24x7 technology environment. This position will build a best-in-class approach and expertise in high-quality technology payments strategies, operational services and solutions. This position will serve company executive leadership, the enterprise community and associates. Scaling the Payments business as an integral leader and partner, for internal and external customers through reliable technology payments processing and product development are key success factors.. The VP, Technology will have extensive healthcare industry knowledge and experience with large scale transaction processing. He/She will work closely with the enterprise Technology and Payments business professionals to accelerate payments processing, operational improvements and product development opportunities. In conjunction with the business, establishes technology and operational protocols, services, time commitments and metrics. The complexity of this position requires a leadership approach that is engaging, imaginative and collaborative. He/She will have a sophisticated ability working with other leaders to align, set and deliver technology, payments processing, product development and company priorities. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS. Sets and executes the Technology Payments mission/vision to foster an enterprise culture mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.. Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of legacy payments and enterprise systems, including the full life cycle of payments requirements, architecture, user experiences, analytics, roadmaps and tools.. Provides proactive leadership and clarity of direction to technical experts, business leaders or staff across the enterprise on a wide variety of payments issues that require an in-depth understanding of the Technology environment in their units.. Technical discipline of Payments and business processes; data transaction processing, performance, lifecycle, service, querying, findings, reporting, revenue, contracts, customer, security, policies, dashboards and models for standard and artificial intelligence initiatives and predictive analytics.. Acts as a trusted advisor and builds and maintains relationships with other Technology leaders and business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of Technology services to meet those needs and responds with agility to changing business priorities.. Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across Technology and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.. Further develop/evolve state-of-the-art robust, scalable, secure environment and flexible platforms ensuring long term competitive advantage.. Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning. Drives contemporary approach to Technology Payments or Cloud environments; manage relationships with vendors in partnership with enterprise software development organization.. Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced within Technology Payments to ensure Technology capabilities scale for growth.. Champions Technology Payments involvement in innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities.. Directs the development of Technology Payments sourcing strategy and provides oversight for strategic vendor/partner relationship management; partners with key finance and legal personnel on vendor management and compliance.. Contributes to the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for Technology Payments ensuring it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of Technology and the enterprise and is within plan.. Works with the Technology senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources.. Partners with Human Resources/People Operations and the Technology leadership team to develop people priorities and plans, that aligns with the Technology strategies. Continually looks for innovative and meaningful solutions to the recruitment, development and retention of the Technology Payments workforce.. Forecasts future skill needs to acquire and develop a Technology workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies that balance between growing the agility required to achieve digital business objectives and ensuring the core Technology functions are reliable, stable and efficient.. Serves on Technology planning and policymaking committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure Payments delivers value to the enterprise.. EDUCATION:. Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related fields. 15+ years progressive experience in an Information Technology and business line leadership capacity; preferably in a dynamic healthcare industry. Deep knowledge of payments business; preferably in a technology organization. Understands technology, business and enterprise initiatives to support successful client facing implementations and product development plans. Exceptional people leadership, communications and cross-functional teamwork. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, prioritization and innovation skills. Demonstrated outstanding business processes, agile and technology engineering experience working with C-suite executives. Track record of setting and meeting service level agreements (SLA's) in a complex technology operating environment and high-volume transaction processing. COMPENSATION:.
